Nounorganizations
From Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. An organization (or organisation — see spelling differences) is a social arrangement which pursues collective goals, which controls its own performance, and which has a boundary separating it from its environment. The word itself is derived from the Greek word ὄργανον (organon [itself derived from the better-known word ἔργον ergon - work; deed - > ergonomics, etc]) meaning tool. The term is used in both daily and scientific English in multiple ways. In the social sciences, organizations are studied by researchers from several disciplines, the most common of which are sociology, economics, political science, psychology, management, and organizational communication. The broad area is commonly referred to as organizational studies, organizational behavior or organization analysis. Therefore, a number of different theories and perspectives exist, some of which are compatible, and others that are competing.

GNU Free Documentation License How are volunteer organizations primarily funded? Q. I am thinking mainly of ESL literacy organizations. I realize they have the volunteers for the work, but they also ussually have full time staff, facilities and revenue. Do donations keep these organizations afloat, or do they tap into some sort of government grant handout that supports them because they are serving the community (whatever that means) I would like to know how these organizations work? I'm believer in the follow the money principle but where is the money come from? Q. I'm trying to find out what basic services are provided by non-profit organizations. I know they all have their specific field, but there is a structure of sorts that all non profits will go through. I'm looking for a list of basic (and some not so basic) services they render, as well as a list of information detailing what the organization does through out the year. ie, look for sponsors 20% of the time, give away money or services 30% of the time, etc. Best answer will go to the person who is descriptive, detailed, knowlegable, and meets the requirements of the question. Thank you. Asked by richards150 - Fri Aug 31 16:53:40 2007 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A.
